The staging consultation. Every property is different…in size, style, age, condition and location. To ensure that each home creates a mood that says to buyers “Welcome Home”, we typically start with a 1-hour in-home consultation. Here’s what you’re clients can expect in that hour:
A complete walk-through of their house, inside and out, to assess existing areas in need of repair or maintenance as well existing furniture and accessories that should remain, be edited down or removed, rented or purchased prior to showing.
A comprehensive list of tasks that will help them effectively prepare the house for sale.
A list of industry resources that can help them carry out tasks that may need a little extra help with (cleaners, movers, landscapers, plumbers, handymen, packing, etc).
Following the consultation, the homeowner can decide whether they can prepare their home sale on their own or whether they need assistance.
That’s when the homeowner often turns to Accentuate to complete a “hands-on property enhancement” in as little as a 1/2 to 1 day. Done! Ready to show! Peace of mind for the home owner and one more task off their busy plate….and yours. Here’s how we do it.

Client ‘home work’ – preparing for “staging” day. Prior to our arrival on “staging” day, we ask the home owners to clean the house – all surfaces (floors, counters, washrooms, etc), complete minor repairs if needed and as time allows, pack up and remove all possessions, décor or furniture as discussed in the initial consultation. If any rentals or purchases are recommended, we’ll clarify those details prior to staging day as well. And if the home work becomes too much to handle, we’re always available to help along the way. Remember, this is about making the selling and moving process easier.
With home work complete – the enhancement can begin!

“Hands-on” enhancement day. The big day is here! Here’s how a typical day unfolds for up to a 3,000 sq.ft.property :

Our staging teams arrives with all necessary tools to re-position/re-hang artwork, move heavy furniture, reach tall places and spot clean surfaces as needed.

Upon arrival, we already have an overall design concept in place. We’ve assessed the homes key architectural features - great floors, fabulous fixtures, a room with a view…..elements that when accentuated effectively will transform the house into an exceptional product that Stands Out in the Market.

Existing furniture, art, accessories – it’s time to ‘round up’ all the existing key pieces in preparation for re-positioning and re-grouping them throughout the home enroute to creating lived-in appeal that buyers can’t resist.

Furniture moving, artwork re-positioning, accessory placement and overall home décor re-placement is completed. We may even re-purpose some rooms in order to maximize the demand for the house.
- Tables settings, bedding and bathrooms are addressed
- Floors are swept or vacuumed as needed
